Nathan and The Zydeco Cha Chas Evanston reviews
nice show
The scenery was quite enjoyable, Many costumes were stunning, many others were less than eye catching however. The rest of the cast (my apologies if they were all company) had an obviously skill/talent difference in the company dancers. Some of the dancers had horribly distracting posture from the performance (and I'm not talking about the children). The choreography added greatly to sub-par ability of many of the dancers and was unique and interesting. My daughter was seeing this for the first time and our ticket price of $15 seemed fair, though I certainly would not have paid more. The Russian piece in the second act was however, horribly embarrassing to watch. The Sugar Plum Fairy was exceptional to watch, as was many of the other key characters, Droselmeyer, the Cavalier, to name a few. All in all, not the best Nathan and The Zydeco Cha Chas, but not the worst either. At $15 a ticket, I'll probably come back in a few years.
